Homework
Homework will be sent home on a Friday and needs to be handed in by the following Wednesday morning ready for it to be marked.
Tonacliffe’s homework policy states that children in year 1 and 2 must complete:
- Reading - fifteen minutes at least five times/ week. (Please sign your child’s reading record – these will be checked during guided reading.)
- Phonics and number of the week 20 minutes/ week (this will be stuck in their homework books each week)
- Year 2 children will be introduced to learning multiplication tables on TTRockstars (see link on classpage to login)
- Some year 2 children may start Accelerated Reader when ready (see link on classpage to login). They are expected to complete quizzes on the books they read.
Optional homework consists of:
- Learning Logs
