Welcome to Pink Class

Good morning,

As it is your Easter holiday, we want you to have more fun and time with the family (and grown ups we want you to have some time off and relax!) to do nice things together. Below are some Easter themed activities for you to be getting on with throughout the week. You can choose what you would like to do. Enjoy and happy Easter!

We understand that not everyone will have access to a computer and printer so we have tried to plan activities that do not require printing out. You are able to complete these activities just on blank/lined paper.

Please look at the calculations policy (which you will find below) to see which methods we use in school if you are unsure.

Please email if you have any questions regarding the work set.

Thank you for your continued support

We had lots of fun on World Book Day!

We had a busy day on Thursday in Percy's Park. We did lots of fun activities such as making sandwiches, role playing 'After the Storm', large scale story maps, designing a new tree house, den building and treasure hunts. Thank you to all the children and parents for putting so much effort into their costumes! I hope the children enjoyed it just as much as Miss Coxhead did.

Homework and Spellings

Spellings will be given out every Friday and tested the following Thursday. Nothing needs handing in for these.

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.

Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed on a Friday for Y1. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!

Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.

Please ensure children have both indoor and outdoor PE kit in school every day as we may change the day we do PE. If your child has earrings please ensure they can take them out or have plasters to cover them.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.

If you have any problems please don't hestitate to contact me :)

Naming human and physical features

The children went outside to take pictures and videos of human and physical features. Even with the strong winds they all did a fantastic job of filming. Well done Pink Class smiley
