Welcome to Pink Class

Hi Pink Class,

It is really strange being in school without seeing you all everyday and I can't wait to see you all!

I am now working in school every day teaching Tiger group, Mrs Whitworth has helped to prepare some work for you and she will be replying to as many of your emails as possible. I will still pop on the emails and really will try to reply to as many of you as I possibly can but my replies might take longer to arrive than they did before half term.

Please remember to email in to so I can see what you are all up to. I LOVE seeing what you and your families have been up to! Remember you can still access PurpleMash but I will not be setting any 2Do's. There are so many fun activities that you can complete smiley

I want you all to keep working hard and making sure you have some time to relax, play and enjoy a range of activities with your family. These are the times to treasure and enjoy. I hope you are all still smiling and keeping safe and healthy. I really am missing you all and I'm sending you all a big hug!

Remember to stay safe and be kind to everyone smiley

Missing you all LOTS!

I love the idea of this time capsule. I might even do it myself so I can look back at it in years to come. It may be something you wish to complete at home, whether it is to look back on yourself or to share with friends and family when we are able to go out and see each other again. Who knows, it may even be something that historians find useful in the future!
Cosmic Kids Yoga on Youtube - Enjoy a story too!

Animal shadow puppets - how many of these can you make?

We had lots of fun on World Book Day!

We had a busy day on Thursday in Percy's Park. We did lots of fun activities such as making sandwiches, role playing 'After the Storm', large scale story maps, designing a new tree house, den building and treasure hunts. Thank you to all the children and parents for putting so much effort into their costumes! I hope the children enjoyed it just as much as Miss Coxhead did.

Homework and Spellings

Spellings will be given out every Friday and tested the following Thursday. Nothing needs handing in for these.

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.

Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed on a Friday for Y1. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!

Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.

Please ensure children have both indoor and outdoor PE kit in school every day as we may change the day we do PE. If your child has earrings please ensure they can take them out or have plasters to cover them.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.

If you have any problems please don't hestitate to contact me :)

Naming human and physical features

The children went outside to take pictures and videos of human and physical features. Even with the strong winds they all did a fantastic job of filming. Well done Pink Class smiley
