Hello everyone and welcome to Orange Class.

Hello everyone!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely Easter break and didn't eat too much chocolate! I am looking forward to us all completing some exciting and fun work this half term.

This term I am going to be catching up with those people not doing their homework, you all know what you need to do. Please ensure diaries are signed so I know you have been reading.

Any problems or questions please catch me at the junior door when you are dropping off or collecting your child.

Remember to go on TTRockstars as often as you can. If you have problems with your password, please let me know.

Homework and Spellings

Spellings will be handed out on Tuesday. There will no longer be a weekly spelling test, however the children will be expected to spell these words correctly in their independent writing, and there will be occasional spelling checks completed in class.

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.

Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed when they have done a quiz. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!

Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.

If you have any problems please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your continued support.

TT Rockstars

The children now have a ttrockstars account and have been shown how to use the programme in school. Using the programme is now part of the weekly homework.

Go to and enter the school name and the username and password that the children put in their diaries.

It is important that all children have some undisturbed time to do this and they must do it independently.

Certificates for the top three scores in the class (year 3 and year 4) will be given out on a Friday afternoon by email.
