Welcome to Orange Class - Year 3&4
I hope you are all staying safe still! Well done to everybody working hard both at home and in school! I am extremely proud of you all.
As always, I have planned all of our lessons and created all the resources, as if we were all in school. However, your work is now on the joint LKS2 page.
There are videos, PowerPoints like we use in class and some videos from the website Oak Academy which we have also seen and used in class. Do all that you can and remember all the things I would expect in class. Try your hardest and send in what you have been able to complete. It is best if you can do this each day.
Remember, reading is the key to success so read all you can and let me know what you have read. See if the book is on Accelerated Reader and use the link below to complete a quiz if your book is on the scheme.
Parents - I know personally how difficult it may be for you to juggle teaching your child at home, especially if you are also working from home as well. Remember that most of these tasks your child will be able to do independently once they have gone through the PowerPoints or videos. Please also remember that I am here to help so please email me on the class email address.
We will get through this together!
If you have any questions or simply want to say hello, email me at the class email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Each day send in the work you have completed.
Most of all, stay safe and keep going. The end is in sight and we will get there together!
The children now have a ttrockstars account and have been shown how to use the programme in school. Using the programme is now part of the weekly homework.
Go to ttrockstars.com/login/54780 and enter the school name and the username and password that the children put in their diaries.
It is important that all children have some undisturbed time to do this and they must do it independently.
Certificates for the top three scores in the class (year 3 and year 4) will be given out on a Friday afternoon by email.

Homework and Spellings

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.
Children are expected to go on TTRockstars to practise their times tables.
Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed on a Friday or Monday. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!
Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.
Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.
If you have any problems please don't hesitate to contact me :)
