Mee the Teacher 2021/22

Welcome to Orange Class - Year 3&4

Hello everyone!

Finally, we are all back together again! I hope you have had a lovely break and you are now ready for our final half term! This term we are going to be working very hard but also have lots of fun too :)

If you do have to isolate, all your work is on the joint LKS2 page.

Email me your work at orangehw@tonacliffe.lancs.sch.uk. Each day send in the work you have completed.

Fingers crossed we all manage to stay in school for the full half term and we get lots done!

PE day is Friday. We have double PE on Fridays so this is the only day you need to come in PE kit. However, remember we have a relaxed uniform policy and you can come in leggings/joggers and trainers every day!

Learning Log Homework

TT Rockstars

The children now have a ttrockstars account and have been shown how to use the programme in school. Using the programme is now part of the weekly homework.

Go to ttrockstars.com/login/54780 and enter the school name and the username and password that the children put in their diaries.

It is important that all children have some undisturbed time to do this and they must do it independently.

Certificates for the top three scores in the class (year 3 and year 4) will be given out on a Friday afternoon by email.

Homework and Spellings

Spellings will be tested on a Monday and new ones will be given out afterwards.

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.

Children are expected to go on TTRockstars to practise their times tables.

Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed on a Friday or Monday. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!

Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.

If you have any problems please don't hesitate to contact me :)
