Welcome to Orange Class - Year 3&4

Hello everyone!

Well...we are a couple of weeks into the summer term now and I have to say I am so pleased to be back teaching you all!

Our DT and computing project went really well last week as you all worked so hard! The pictures and video I took are below if you want to take a look!

We will back on our normal time table next week so I hope you all continue to work as hard as you have been :)

As usual, if you do have to isolate, all your work can be found on the joint lower key stage 2 page. You can also access all our work on there if you feel like you would like to practise anything again at home. If you are off isolating, email me your work at orangehw@tonacliffe.lancs.sch.uk. Each day send in the work you have completed.

Lets have a great final term back together!

PE day is Friday. We have double PE on Fridays so this is the only day you need to come in PE kit. However, remember we have a relaxed uniform policy and you can come in leggings/joggers and trainers every day!

Learning Log Homework

TT Rockstars

The children now have a ttrockstars account and have been shown how to use the programme in school. Using the programme is now part of the weekly homework.

Go to ttrockstars.com/login/54780 and enter the school name and the username and password that the children put in their diaries.

It is important that all children have some undisturbed time to do this and they must do it independently.

Certificates for the top three scores in the class (year 3 and year 4) will be given out on a Friday afternoon by email.

Spellings will be tested on a Monday and new ones will be given out afterwards.

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.

Children are expected to go on TTRockstars to practise their times tables.

Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed on a Friday or Monday. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!

Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.

If you have any problems please don't hesitate to contact me :)
