Orange

Welcome to Orange Class

Hello everybody!

Well one week left until the summer holidays! I cannot believe the year we have had and I am so sad that I have missed so much time with you all. You have worked so hard and tried your best, even in these difficult times and you should be very proud of yourselves.

Keep working hard for another week and then you will be able to have a well deserved break. I found a really good website the other day called Oxford Owl Online and it has all levels of reading books on there for free. Check it out! There's activities too!

I am going to try and ring you all this week to say goodbye as I haven't been able to do it in person so I look forward to talking to you all. You will also find out about your new class this week. The biggest news, hot off the press, is that I am moving to year 3/4 (what was white class) so some of you year 2s might actually find that we will be back together after the summer! :)

(Grown ups, there was a letter emailed out about changes to the classes plus uniform information)

Please feel free to email the homework email - hw@tonacliffe.lancs.sch.uk - if you have any concerns and I will try my best to help :) Don't forget to keep sending in your work too!

Keep going for another week, and keep smiling!

Homework and Spellings

Spellings will be given out every Friday and tested the following Thursday. Nothing needs handing in for these.

Learning log homework will be given out at the beginning of each half term.

Children are also expected to read their home reading books every night. These will be changed on a Friday for Y1. If they have read their books they can read any other books at home and take part in their READING CHALLENGE!

Can I please ask that you sign your child's reading diary so I know they have completed their reading homework.

Please ensure children have both indoor and outdoor PE kit in school every day as we may change the day we do PE. If your child has earrings please ensure they can take them out or have plasters to cover them.

Please make sure your contact details are up to date in case of emergency. We will try all numbers given in the case of an emergency if we cannot reach the first contact.

If you have any problems please don't hestitate to contact me :)
